Almost all of the ads on the actual Bornagain.com email pages are from Everyone.net, that runs the service, so we apologize in advance if their ads are inappropriate, but that is the only way for us to run a free service.
Rules, Scams, Spam, and Abuse from Bornagain.com Users
There have been a number of scams, spam, and abuse involving users of our free email service. This is a FREE service, and WE DO NOT RECOMMEND OR ENDORSE BUSINESSES, MISSIONARIES, OR OTHER OPERATIONS USING OUR FREE EMAIL ADDRESSES. There have been a number of reports of fake charities and missionaries using our free email service. These accounts are for personal use and should not be used in business or commercial transactions. Since the email service is subject to suspension and termination, we ask that you not use these accounts for business transactions. Always triple check before sending money to another person. Be sure to read all the detailed rules and agreements at the bottom of the page once you have successfully registered and logged into your account.
Internet Spam, Abuse, Account Suspension
Report all spam and problems to abuse@everyone.net and include the complete headers and content of your email. It is important to contact abuse@everyone.net instead of Christ.com, since everyone.net is responsible for email management. If your account has been suspended, contact abuse@everyone.net to resolve the matter.
Internet SCAMS
- Assume that any business transaction through the internet is a scam, unless you have detailed verification that it is legitimate. Never trust a business just because it has an email account through Bornagain.com !!!
- NEVER send money to a potential seller of goods or services using Western Union or Money Gram. Many scams for merchandise (like puppies) ask for payment by Western Union.
- NEVER accept payment (if you are a seller) for more than the asking price. A common scam is to overpay for an item, and then ask you to refund the difference. The scam works when they cash your refund check, and the check they send you fails. Always wait for checks to clear your bank, which may take a week or more. A check has not "cleared" when you cash it at your bank. Ask your bank when the check clears.
- NEVER buy items, or invest in things that appear "to good to be true". They are almost always scams.
- NEVER assume that somebody using a Bornagain.com address is reputable. A number of scammers state that they are ministers or missionaries. They use the Bornagain.com address to gain your confidence (this is why it is called a "con game", since they plead on your symphathies and try to gain your confidence).
- ALWAYS ask for multiple contact points. A reputable dealer will ALWAYS give you a telephone number, a postal address (standard mail), and other references. Even if they do supply multiple contact methods, never assume they are reputable.
- The law requires a U.S.D.A license to breed, exhibit or sell exotic animals. Ask the dealer to supply you with copies of their license, and then check that license with the USDA. Almost all transactions involving exotic animals on the Internet are scams.
- Use an escrow service, like www.Escrow.com, or www.PuppyEscrow.com for payments. DO NOT use an escrow service that is not well known. DO NOT use an uncommon escrow service suggested by the seller (or buyer). Consider using www.Paypal.com for payments, and make the seller guarantee receipt of goods.
- Transactions that are international (i.e., between a seller in Africa and the USA) are frequently fraudulent, and are impossible to track when their is trouble.
- Check a dealer's reputation with the Better Business Bureau, www.BBB.org
- Request a personalized photo of the item you are purchasing. For example, ask them to send a photo that includes something in the picture that YOU request, like a picture of a dog next to the latest newspaper with recent headlines. Do NOT let the seller suggest what to put in a personalized photo. Do NOT accept excuses for not supplying a photo. This is helpful, but not foolproof, since photos can be faked.
Filing a Complaint with the FBI
If you have been scammed, contact the authorities:
- The Fraud Complaint Center (IFCC) was established by the FBI and the National White Collar Crime Center. You can file an on-line complaint with the IFCC by going to www.ifccfbi.gov.
- A good source of information on avoiding Internet scams can be found on the Federal Trade Commission’s website at www.ftc.gov/bcp/menu-internet.htm . The FTC has a toll free hotline: 877-FTC-HELP (877-382-4357)
- The Internet Complaint Center is another good place to file a complaint, www.ic3.gov

Please pray for my son when he can't have the television. he gets mad at me. please pray for him he is really a good kid . Sometimes I don't know what is causing him to get so upset. He directs it towards me and its only when he doesn't get something. I try not to cry and be strong but it hurts me. I want my sweet boy back. It's mostly the television.

Urgent Prayer for a Family

Please lift Kenny and his family up in prayer. They need deliverance. Kenny is in 3rd grade. The other day, Kenny stood up in class and started telling the other students to do obscene things to a particular part of his body. He then stuck his foot out in an attempt to trip his teacher and make him fall down. He was removed from the class and his mother was immediately contacted. His mother's response was to cuss out the school's principal and guidance counselor. Kenny was suspended for 5 days. Kenny returned to school on the 6th day and was immediately removed again because he raised his hand to strike the teacher. He was suspended again. During this time, Kenny and his siblings were removed from their mother by DCF because she was deemed unfit. They are very neglected. They have an odor and are quite thin. Kenny has been in all kinds of trouble like breaking into a local church and stealing from the corner store. Their mother does not work because she says she has an extensive criminal record and can not find work. Kenny and his siblings seem to be emotionally handicapped. The other students in the school are also suffering because of this. They cannot learn because Kenny and his siblings create many disturbances during instructional time. Please lift this family up in prayer. Pray that the scales of spiritual blindness will fall from the eyes of this mother and that she will repent and trust Jesus as lord and savior of her life. Pray for deliverance for Kenny and his siblings for they are oppressed by many unclean spirits. Pray that they will feel the love of God

Dear Christians, My husband and I are both employed -- yet struggling to make ends meet. I am graduating this spring with a degree in school leadership (to be a school principal--I am currently a public school teacher) and he is a delivery man. If I were to receive a job as a school principal--we could afford a nice place to live...if not--because of the costs of repaying my student loan, daycare for our newly adopted little girl, etc.--we will have to move in with family that lives 45 minutes from our job... We are ashamed of our situation--and pray that God will help us to find the security we need to purchase our first home (we currently rent from a friend--but the 1,000.00 a month price tag is too much--additionally--my mom pays for our daycare--and we don't have to pay back my loans yet)...next year, if things did not change...we would have to move just to survive... We need to put our faith in the Lord...but for whatever earthly reason--I struggle so much... I want to know that all will be well...but am so nervous. On top of this--I am ticking people off a lot today...which I do not want to do... Please pray that we receive the funds needed to keep our family together in our home... Erin

I worked with youth with a mission since 2000 and i also worked with other christian mission based organizations afterwords. Dear Lord Our God, We Thank You Lord Jesus for providing Bill with a job offer the day he got his notice. Lord, may Bill's reply to their offer be acceptable and in our favor. We continue to pray that the doors open for the job in Monrovia and Charlotte also, so we seek You for continued guidance. For some reason our Father, we are not at peace with the job in KC. If it is Your Will we should go there, please, please replace all doubt and anxiety with your peace, confidence and a cheerful heart. One door closed today, God please open many others. May it be Bill's time for wonderful Blessings concerning his career. AMEN. Faith can move mountains we know!

Please pray for healing of my friend, Linda K*, who has been diagnosed with cancer. Pray also for healing for my friend, Bob L*, who has had a stroke and a reaction to his medication.
