There have been a number of scams, spam, and abuse from users of our free email service. This is a FREE service, and WE DO NOT RECOMMEND OR ENDORSE BUSINESSES, MISSIONARIES, OR OTHER OPERATIONS USING OUR FREE EMAIL ADDRESSES. There have been a number of reports of fake charities and missionaries using our free email service. Always triple check before sending money. Internet Spam and Abuse

Report all spam to abuse@everyone.net including the complete headers and content of your email. It is important to contact abuse@everyone.net instead of Christ.com, since everyone.net is responsible for email management.

Internet SCAMS

  1. Assume that any business transaction through the internet is a scam, unless you have detailed verification that it is legitimate. Never trust a business just because it has an email account through Bornagain.com !!!

  2. NEVER send money to a potential seller of goods or services using Western Union or Money Gram. Many scams for merchandise (like puppies) ask for payment by Western Union.

  3. NEVER accept payment (if you are a seller) for more than the asking price. A common scam is to overpay for an item, and then ask you to refund the difference. The scam works when they cash your refund check, and the check they send you fails. Always wait for checks to clear your bank, which may take a week or more. A check has not "cleared" when you cash it at your bank. Ask your bank when the check clears.

  4. NEVER buy items, or invest in things that appear "to good to be true". They are almost always scams.

  5. NEVER assume that somebody using a Bornagain.com address is reputable. A number of scammers state that they are ministers or missionaries. They use the Bornagain.com address to gain your confidence (this is why it is called a "con game", since they plead on your symphathies and try to gain your confidence).

  6. ALWAYS ask for multiple contact points. A reputable dealer will ALWAYS give you a telephone number, a postal address (standard mail), and other references. Even if they do supply multiple contact methods, never assume they are reputable.

  7. The law requires a U.S.D.A license to breed, exhibit or sell exotic animals. Ask the dealer to supply you with copies of their license, and then check that license with the USDA. Almost all transactions involving exotic animals on the Internet are scams.

  8. Use an escrow service, like www.Escrow.com, or www.PuppyEscrow.com for payments. DO NOT use an escrow service that is not well known. DO NOT use an uncommon escrow service suggested by the seller (or buyer). Consider using www.Paypal.com for payments, and make the seller guarantee receipt of goods.

  9. Transactions that are international (i.e., between a seller in Africa and the USA) are frequently fraudulent, and are impossible to track when their is trouble.

  10. Check a dealer's reputation with the Better Business Bureau, www.BBB.org

  11. Request a personalized photo of the item you are purchasing. For example, ask them to send a photo that includes something in the picture that YOU request, like a picture of a dog next to the latest newspaper with recent headlines. Do NOT let the seller suggest what to put in a personalized photo. Do NOT accept excuses for not supplying a photo. This is helpful, but not foolproof, since photos can be faked.

Filing a Complaint with the FBI

If you have been scammed, contact the authorities:
  1. The Fraud Complaint Center (IFCC) was established by the FBI and the National White Collar Crime Center. You can file an on-line complaint with the IFCC by going to www.ifccfbi.gov.

  2. A good source of information on avoiding Internet scams can be found on the Federal Trade Commission’s website at www.ftc.gov/bcp/menu-internet.htm . The FTC has a toll free hotline: 877-FTC-HELP (877-382-4357)

  3. The Internet Complaint Center is another good place to file a complaint, www.ic3.gov

greeting in christ name..... im a believer but my life does going wrong.i have a lot debt amounting to two hundred seventeen thousand pesos in different prsons.im afraid i cannot pay this and im afraid i will be put in jail.im the only wrking in the family if i will out to jail i dont know if my parents can survive no one will take care of them.im beliving dat in god all things are possible.pls pray for me.i wnt to be free from debt.pls help me.im very worried about this.i can no longer concentrate.i just smetimes hide wats inside.but depenately trouble.pls pray for me. *** im from the philippines.

I have 2 prayer requests and will try and keep this short. First I am new to the city of Omaha, and it is just me and my wife. I am asking God for a friend. I really need some good guy friends. Second prayer request is for a job I applied for a year ago with the Federal Government - Air Traffic Controller. I am just waiting for the background to go through - I am asking and praying that the Lord would grant me this job, and I am also asking to have a final word soon. It's been a bit frustrating not knowing because my wife and I have had to put several things on hold because we are not positively sure if this job will go through or not. Thank You for Your Son of whom I acknowledge as my Lord and personal Savior. Thank You for shedding Your blood for me. Father, restore to me the relationship that I had with You from at baptism. I want that love and intimite relationship that you willingly you gave to me . I know You never left me and I know I truly love You but with all the temptations and tribulation around me, I have fallen victim to some of weakness of the flesh and the deceptions of this world.Forgive for having sought experiences, power, knowlege and protection from forbidden sources.forgive me for sharing this information and my delusions on others thus causing injury to you.I make a decision of faith to forgive all who Ihave hurt, injured and offended in my life. I would like to pray for my spritual warfare it is something i do not like . its when the mind is not focus on god and its been going on for five months now off and on but i made it to this year 2009 so i thank god for my life sometimes it gets hard but i know i can make it i just have to depend on jesus and not myself because jesus is the only one who can saved me from evil, and i will survive and aalways hold god in my heart and never give up and to everyone else dont give up the devil is a liar Amen.
